Farmer's Market in NYC

We went to Union Square and found out there was a farmer's market. New Yorkers are hard core. It was freezing but people were still out. We bought some hot apple cider. Very Yummy. There was even a booth selling home spun and dyed sheep's wool that was beautiful but I couldn't get my cheap ass to buy $18 a skein, since I would need at least 5-7 to make anything. Maybe when I get really good it will be a treat to myself until then it's cheap acrylic yarn :)

Past project

Here are some past crochet projects I did. I gave the afghan to my brother, though I might have to make another one for myself. An a little elephant for my brother's girlfriend's kid.

Crocheting away

My friend Anna is having a baby, so I felt little booties were in order. So tiny!
The non-profit aerial dance company I'm on the board of and dancing with is doing a project. It's aerial dance, opera and politics rolled into one. Crazy I know. The piece is 2 sections one based on Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill and the other is Apollo & Daphne. We are trying to raise money selling reusable bags with the company logo on it at this flea market and so I crocheted some head bands to keep your ears warm. We didn't sell the head bands so I just gave them to the people who helped at the booth. If you want to check out the dance company or buy some bags the website is http://www.flybynightdance.org/  They also do a great program with little kids.
I have a few crochet projects going on at the same time. It's kind of bad because it just takes me longer to finish it. I'm working on another cardigan, a sweater and another cowl scarf. Upcoming projects; leg warmers, alien doll, and more baby stuff for my friend.

Crochet Projects

First Sweater - a warm little cardigan with one of my grandmother's buttons. I'm working on my second cardigan. 2 sweaters started sitting in bags.

Wendy sent me some beautiful hand dyed merino wool which I made into a large cowl. It adds beautiful color to my knee length black down coat which I live in now that it's cold. I still need to make Daniel a scarf out of the camel wool.
